Why should I hire a Grasshopper Jumping Castle?

Grasshopper Jumping castles truly believes that your celebration should be special. Our range of castles offers something for everyone and having FUN while being safe are our number one priorities. Grasshopper Jumping Castles will also provide a party bag for each child at your party (max 25). It is our goal to provide you with a jumping castle experience you will not forget.

Am I to big or to little have a jumping castle?

Grasshopper Jumping Castles has a range of castles to suit all ages. We have a custom made toddler castle (The Playground 1-3 Years) and a custom made adults castle (Disco Dome) that is perfect for 18th or 21st birthday parties etc. We also have all the castles for ages in between. Remember that the ages that we have given are only recommended ages.

How big are your castles? (How much room do I need?)

All of our castles are different sizes and therefore need different amounts of space. We can cater for the smallest bag yard to the biggest park or tennis court. We can also set our castles up on any surface as long as it is relatively flat.

How much does it cost to hire a Grasshopper Jumping Castle?

Grasshopper Jumping Castles has tried to give you the best value for money when it comes to hiring a castle for your child. Different castles cost different prices and there are different hire hours (4 and 7 hour hires). Each castle description will list the individual hire price.

Do we need to pay a deposit or booking fee?

No - we do not take any deposit.  Once you make a booking, you will be sent an invoice as confirmation of your booking.  You pay in full on the day when we deliver the castle.

Do you know any games we can play on the castles?

When you hire a Grasshopper Jumping Castle you will receive a book of games that you and your children can play on the castle. We believe that jumping castles can be used for more than just bouncing and we would like your jumping castle experience to be something that your children and you can share in together.

How many children can bounce at one time?

There are many factors involved when calculating how many children can bounce at the same time. We need to take into account the height and weight of the children and the specific castle they are using. Each castle comes with a manufacturers recommended number of children and this is listed on individual castle descriptions. However, common sense is always recommended.

What happens if it rains or if we cancel?

Grasshopper Jumping Castles has a unique adverse weather guarantee. If we cancel your hire due to adverse weather (rain, high winds, etc.) then we will credit you with the same hire at an alternate date. However, if you cancel your hire for reasons other than the weather, then you will forfeit your booking fee. If the weather is uncertain on the day of your hire then Grasshopper Jumping Castles will give you the option of cancelling your hire. Once your hire has commenced there are no refunds. If it starts to rain during your hire then it is your responsibility to bring all electrical equipment out of the rain.

Do you have insurance?

Grasshopper Jumping Castles prides itself on its flawless safety record. We take every precaution we can to ensure the safety of you and your children. However, in the event of an accident we have $10 million public liability insurance. Please ask us on the day of your hire if you would like to see a copy of our insurance certificate.

What power is needed to inflate a jumping castle?

·All jumping castles can be inflated using your normal household power supply. All of our electrical equipment is tagged and tested and we use RCD's (Residual Current Devices) on all of our equipment. The jumping castle must be set up within 30m of a power supply. If this is not possible or you are having your party in a park then we can supply our own petrol powered blower.

Does somebody need to supervise the jumping castle?

In the interests of your child's safety your castle must be supervised. If you require, a staff member from Grasshopper Jumping Castles can supervise your castle for $30 per hour. All of our staff have current Blue Cards and Police checks and most importantly, all of our staff are parents. If you are having your castle in a park or public place then it is a requirement that Grasshopper Jumping Castle staff supervise your castle. The Disco Dome and all corporate hires come with compulsory supervision.
