  1. How do I book?

    2. Booking is simple! You can book online 24/7, we’ll then check your booking and give you a call or send you an email to confirm everything. Alternatively, you can call us on 0438 737 332 or email us at info@grasshoppercastles.com.au

  2. How much notice do I need to give for a booking?

    3. You can book with Grasshoppers one day ahead of delivery and collection. However we recommend that you book as far ahead as possible, as we take bookings up to a year in advance and get very busy in season.

  3. How much does it cost?

    4. We at Grasshopper Jumping Castles promise to give you great value and a great deal! Our castles vary in price in terms of size and duration of hire but our “Castles” page will give you more on that. Don’t worry, there are no hidden charges – you will get the total price of your booking when you book.

  4. Do we need to pay a deposit or booking fee?

    5. No, we do not take any deposit. After making your booking, you will be sent an invoice as confirmation. You pay in full on the day when we deliver the castle.

  5. What do the prices include?

    6. The prices shown on our website include 4 or 7 hours hire of your equipment including everything you need (castle, blower, pegs, safety kit etc). The price also includes set up and collection as well as a safety demonstration.

  6. When are your bouncy castles available?

    7. Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round including public holidays.

  7. What games can we can play on the castles?

    8. Whether it is to bounce or to play, we at Grasshopper Jumping Castles will take care of it all. When hiring one of our castles, you will receive a book of games and ideas that you and your children can play on the castle. You can also have a look at our Party Diary for great ideas for games, themes and decorations.

  8. How many children can bounce at one time?

    9. There are many factors involved when calculating how many children can bounce at the same time. We need to take into account the height and weight of the children and the specific castle they are using. Each castle comes with a manufacturers recommended number of children which is listed on individual castle descriptions. However, common sense is always recommended.

  9. How do I pay?

    10. You can pay in cash on the day of your booking. We accept cash, EFTPOS and credit cards (excludes American Express and Diners Club), however, there will be an additional $3 fee for all EFTPOS and credit card transactions.

  10. What about rain or if I need to cancel?

    11. Rain Policy
    In the event of rain, cancellations on the day of hire will NOT incur a cancellation fee, providing Grasshopper Jumping Castles receives at least 3 hours notice prior to the hire. If this does not occur, customers will be charged a $50 cancellation fee or $100 in the case of a Disco Dome or Lost Temple.
    Cancellation Policy
    Cancellations with more than a week’s notice will not incur a charge.
    Cancellations made with between 3 and 6 days notice will incur a $50 charge.
    Cancellations made with less than 3 days notice will incur a $100 charge.

  11. Can the bouncy castle be set up on a slope?

    12. If it is a very slight slope it may be ok, you will need to discuss this prior to the booking.

  12. How long does it take to set up/inflate/deflate/pack up the castle?

    13. The bouncy castles take approx 15 minutes to set up and 20 minutes to pack away. However this is only an estimate, times may vary depending on which castle you hire.

  13. Do you have insurance?

    14. Grasshopper Jumping Castles prides itself on its flawless safety record. We take every precaution we can to ensure the safety of you and your children. However, in the event of an accident we have $10 million public liability insurance. Please ask us on the day of your hire if you would like to see a copy of our insurance certificate.

  14. What power is needed to inflate a jumping castle?

    15. All jumping castles can be inflated using your normal household power supply. All of our electrical equipment is tagged and tested and we use RCD’s (Residual Current Devices) on all of our equipment. The jumping castle must be set up within 30m of a power supply. If this is not possible or you are having your party in a park then we can supply our own petrol powered generator.

  15. Does somebody need to supervise the jumping castle?

    16. In the interests of your child’s safety your castle must be supervised. If you require, a staff member from Grasshopper Jumping Castles can supervise your castle for $30 per hour. All of our staff have current Blue Cards and Police checks and most importantly, all of our staff are parents. If you are having your castle in a park or public place then it is a requirement that Grasshopper Jumping Castle staff supervise your castle. The Disco Dome and all corporate hires come with compulsory supervision.
